Slightly subpar stay. Expected more

stale bread slow wi-fi
The room service was shockingly slow. I ordered a club sandwich at 3 pm and it arrived nearly an hour later, cold. the bread was stale, and the chicken seemed dry. the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. I spotted hairs in the shower. twice. the staff was friendly! but the wi-fi was slow.

nescafe sachets poor standard
the location was lovely and the hotel was beautiful.
I had to ask for more coffee at breakfast. The staff were not so attentive. there was only tetley tea and nescafe. this is definitely not five star standard.

superb visit, beyond expectations!

The staff were helpful. They ensured my luggage was handled with care from arrival to departure. i found good champagne flute glasses and fresh strawberries waiting in my room. the victorian bathroom was spacious and impeccably maintained, a true highlight. i savored a wee whiskey in front of the lobby fireplace. Andrew thoughtfully opened the malt room for me.

the restaurant featured an really good fine-dining experience with food that was delicious. breakfast was made to order, which i consider a big plus. there was a good mix of dishes available, with something to suit all tastes.
